The Oklahoma Water Environment Association is a member association of the Water Environment Federation (WEF), headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia. Founded in 1928, the Water Environment Federation (WEF) is a not-for-profit technical and educational organization with members from varied disciplines who work toward the WEF vision of preservation and enhancement of the global water environment. The WEF network includes more than 100,000 water quality professionals from 79 Member Associations in 32 countries.
OWEA will always be an organization of dedicated and knowledgeable professionals striving to preserve and enhance the water environment of America's heartland.

OUR MISSION
The mission of OWEA shall be to:
1. Fill the professional aspirations and needs of its members
2. Support WEF to achieve its vision and accomplish its mission
3. Work to enhance water quality and advance the profession
4. Share expertise and resources with the public and policy makers
5. Form working relationships with other organizations that support similar
