Raising the Grade, Setting New Standards Reed Conference Center, Midwest City, Oklahoma May 9, 10 & 11, 2005 |
Make plans to attend the first ever combined APWAOK & OWEA Technical Conference, Trade Show and Golf Tournament, May 9-11, 2005, presented jointly by the Oklahoma Chapter of the American Public Works Association and the Oklahoma Water Environment Association!
What a great conference opportunity! For the first time ever, APWAOK and OWEA are combining their efforts to create a tremendous professional conference experience! Every topic on this program meets Oklahoma PDH requirements, and 12 hours of ODEQ approved water/wastewater operator renewal training is being offered! This program will address your professional training needs. Review the attached working agenda for specific topics to be presented this year. Professionals from across the state will present a total of 32 hours of training that meet state continuing education requirements. A social event in Oklahoma City's exciting Bricktown District is scheduled for the evening of May 10th. You can visit the websites www.apwaok.org or www.owea.org for updates on the agenda and to print additional forms.
Conference training sessions will be held at the Reed Center located at 5800 Will Rogers Road in Midwest City. Hotel reservations can be made by calling the Hampton Inn, 1833 Center Drive (405-732-5500). Mention "APWA/OWEA" when making your reservations to receive our group rate of $79/single or double or the state employee rate of $66/single or double. Our room blocks will be held until April 26th. After this date, rooms will be available as space allows.
The registration fee for this tremendous two-day conference is a great value considering the cost of "out-of-state" training and includes admission to seminars, all class materials, entrance to the trade show, continental breakfasts, lunch on both days and all refreshment breaks. We are also offering "one day-exhibit hall only" passes for a minimal fee. The APWA Oklahoma Chapter and OWEA awards ceremonies and business meetings will also be held during the conference.
Register now for two days of information packed seminars, exhibits, and networking opportunities at this first ever combined conference. We look forward to seeing you at the beautiful Reed Center in Midwest City!
