The AWPAOK/OWEA Joint Conference held in May 2006, was a success. This was the second year we worked with Oklahoma Chapter of the American Public Works Association to provide additional topics, additional exhibitors and extended meeting hours. Special thanks goes OWEA and APWAOK members who worked so diligently on this gathering.

Make plans to attend the second Annual APWAOK & OWEA Technical Conference, Trade Show and Golf Tournament, May 8-10, 2006, presented jointly by the Oklahoma Chapter of the American Public Works Association and the Oklahoma Water Environment Association!
What a great conference opportunity! APWAOK and OWEA are combining their efforts to create a tremendous professional conference experience! We are offering a wide range of classroom topics which satisfy Professional Development Hour (PDH) criteria. Please review the attached working agenda for specific topics to be presented this year. Private and public sector professionals from across the state will make presentations. We are offering five hours of Oklahoma Department of Agriculture training and testing on pesticide applications. Twelve hours of ODEQ approved water/wastewater operator renewal training is also being offered. This program will address your professional training needs. To kick off the technical conference, the annual golf tournament will be held on Monday, May 8 th.

The conference training sessions will be held at the Marriott Southern Hills located at 1902 E. 71st Street in Tulsa. Hotel reservations can be made by calling the Marriott at 918-493-7000. Mention "APWA/OWEA" when making your reservations to receive our group rate of $66/single or double plus tax. Our room blocks will be held until April 26th. After this date, rooms will be available as space allows.
The registration fee for this tremendous two-day conference is a great value considering the cost of "out-of-state" training and includes admission to seminars, all class materials, entrance to the trade show, continental breakfasts, lunch on both days and all refreshment breaks. We are also offering "one day-exhibit hall only" passes for a minimal fee. The APWA Oklahoma Chapter and OWEA awards ceremonies and business meetings will also be held during the conference.
