• Awards – Kyle Kruger
• Collections – Jacob Brumbaugh
  • It is the mission of the Oklahoma Water Environment Association (OWEA) Collections Committee to keep OWEA members aware of collection system trends and topics and to involve members of progressive ideas in collection systems. The OWEA Collections Committee will place emphasis on regulatory updates and collection system operational standards. The Collections Committee will actively reach out to current and potential members with learning opportunities and beneficial social interaction and networking possibilities within the water environment and collections systems community.
• Communications – Krysten Marshall
  • The mission of the Communications Committee is to act as a tool by which OWEA conveys information to the membership as well asOklahoma’s water and wastewater community on issues, information, and opportunities regarding water on a local and global level. The Communications Committee is committed to optimizing and maximizing the appropriate avenues of communication to distribute information that supports the goals, objectives and initiatives of OWEA and its Committees through the OWEA website, the OWEA newsletter (TheSplash), mailings, e-mail communications and more.
• Constitution and By-Laws – Tom Kruger
  • The Constitution and Bylaws Committee examines the bylaws to ensure they are consistent with WEF objectives and recommends proposed amendments to the OWEA Bylaws to the Executive Board.
• Strategic Planning – Josh Muskopf
  
  • The mission of the Strategic Planning Committee is to inspire volunteer members to enhance the OWEA member experience. We desire to increase outreach within the water community and raise public awareness about the importance of water.
• Government Affairs – Karen Steele
  • Reviews and analyzes existing and proposed legislation, regulations, and policies in the environmental field with an emphasis on water quality and water resources-related issues. The Committee serves as a resource of information for government officials and other policymakers and carries out programs to stimulate discussion and educate the membership on government issues.
• Membership – James Bryan
  • It is the mission of the Oklahoma Water Environment Association (OWEA) MembershipCommittee to actively promote membership in OWEA. The committee will develop new and innovative ways to enhance and demonstrate the value of the association to its membership and encourage active participation in all activities for the mutual benefit of all its members and recruitment of prospective members
• Young Professionals – Garrett Puttman
  • The mission of the Young Professionals Committee is to increase involvement in OWEA by students and professionals who are new to the water/wastewater industry.
• Nominating – Michael Taylor
  • Annually provides recommendations to the Member Association for the election of its officers, typically comprised of past officers and members of the association.
• Produced Water – Shellie Chard
• Publication and Outreach – Jennifer Wasinger
  • The Publication & Outreach Committee is charged to develop/support education and outreach for WEF/OWEA members, the public, media, and public policymakers to encourage informed decision-making on economic, environmental, public health, operating, and social policy issues associated with the water environment.
• PWO – Steve Hardeman
  • Develop, promote, and conduct activities to improve the skills and knowledge of wastewater operations personnel.
• Laboratory Practices – Lou Ann Fisher
  • Provide knowledge and expertise to OWEA in areas related to routine laboratory operations related to environmental water quality in both private and public sectors. This includes but is not limited to regulatory method guidance, technological advancements, training and procedures, and further understanding of quality assurance and quality control measures.
• Scholarship – Tom Krueger
  • Review scholarship applications for conformance with award criteria and make recommendations to the Executive Board.
• Stormwater – Karen Steele
  • The Stormwater Committee’s mission is to connect stormwater professionals across the state, educate stormwater professionals on the benefits provided by OWEA and WEF, and encourage the inclusion of stormwater topics at OWEA training events
• Water Reuse – Mary Elizabeth Mach
  • To promote and educate our members and the citizenry of Oklahoma on the value of reclaimed wastewater, while supporting clean and safe reclaimed water alternatives for today and future generations.
• Treatment – Jeromy Brush
